My name is Jessica Krzeminski and I am a junior and Psychology major here at the University of Rhode Island. I live on the URI campus but I am from Westport, CT. I was born in California and lived there until I was 11 years old. For my mother’s career purposes, during the summer of 1998, my parents and I moved to Wellesley, MA. It was there that I spent my middle school and high school years. I was still living in Massachusetts when I began my freshman year at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. In my first semester I studied Hospitality and Tourism but then developed an interest in Communication studies before transferring to URI. In the fall of 2006 my parents moved to Westport, CT and that is where they currently live.
Though my academic interests include history, literature, and writing, I have become fascinated with the field of Psychology. As I enter my second year here at URI I am looking forward to the challenge and enjoyable experiences that my classes have to offer. Even though I have not chosen on a particular area of Psychology I wish to study, I am interested in attending graduate school in a couple of years; my intent is to eventually obtain my Ph.D. While pursuing my academic studies I am continuing to participate in the University Chorus here at URI and I am also becoming interested in gaining more work experience. Thus far I have worked for the retail stores American Girl Place - New York and Ann Taylor Loft. I have also returned to my job as a Student Caller for the Alumni Center here at URI. I hope to further expand my experience and do an internship in my academic field in the future.
